MODERN SLAVERY ACT 2015 AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT

We are a services business, providing recruitment, staffing and human resource solutions to a wide range of clients in various sectors, operating through a number of brands across several locations throughout Norway, Europe, United States, South America and the Asia-Pacific region. Our service offering means that we consider that the most likely form of modern slavery applicable to our working practices is labour exploitation. Considering the type of business activity we undertake, we consider that the primary modern slavery risk in our core service delivery is low, however there is never room for complacency, and there can always be a risk of modern slavery hidden within supply chains. We take this responsibility very seriously, and through our , ask our suppliers, clients and partners to do the same.

Every individual working for us or on our behalf in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors, officers, agency workers, seconded workers, volunteers, interns, agents, contractors, external consultants, third-party representatives and business partners have a responsibility to help us reduce the risk of modern slavery taking place where at all possible.

OUR POLICIES ON SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Our Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy reflects our commitment to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.

We expect our suppliers, partners and clients to comply with our Anti-Slavery Policy which includes references to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (“Act”) and we expect that some of our suppliers and clients to have their own policies in place (where the Act applies to them).

In addition to compliance with our Policy we ensure adherence to the modern slavery legislation by our contractors with a contractual statement within our terms of business along with an indemnity.

DUE DILIGENGE PROCESSES FOR SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING

All our subsiduaries undertakes due diligence when considering taking on new suppliers, clients and partners, and regularly reviews its existing Clients. The organisation’s due diligence and reviews:

  • evaluating the modern slavery and human trafficking risks of each new Client;
  • conducting branch and on-site facility audits through the organisation’s own internal auditor, which have a greater degree of focus on slavery and human trafficking where general risks are identified;
  • taking steps to improve Clients’ practices, including providing advice to Clients through our trained advisor team and requiring them to implement action plans such as on-site surgeries and displaying of anti-slavery information;
  • participating in collaborative initiatives focused on human rights in general, and slavery and human trafficking.

TRAINING

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide training to our staff. This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes The Talent Cluster slavery and human trafficking statement.
